This compact dry ice maker is used to create dry ice in the choice of flake or snow form within in a laboratory or other setting. Dry ice is used to keep a substance or object cold in food handling and shipping, science, and medical applications, and is used to create a fog or snow-type of atmosphere in the entertainment industry. This dry ice maker can create flake shapes that are useful for packing around irregular-shaped items.
It is a U.S. model for direct connection to matching threads on the liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) tank. The unit has a brass nozzle for reliability that screws into any LC02 cylinder equipped with a dip tube. Threads on the LCO2 tank (supplied by tank manufacturer) must match the U.S. model. Dry ice must be handled using insulated cryogenic gloves (sold separately). The unit creates 0.77 kg of flakes per bag. Dimensions: 130 x 51 mm and the bag is 300 x 150 mm.
Note: We do not sell CO2 gas cylinders/tanks, which can be obtained from local gas dealers or welding supply stores.
